Cairns is a place that we have
never heard before. As we had been looking forward to this trip, we immediately
felt excited when saying goodbye to our parents at the HK airport. We had to
take a local transfer flight in Brisbane, which is bigger and colder than
Cairns. It was really a long trip!
We were picked up by the host
family at the airport. To our surprise, we found a Japanese girl, whose name is
Mo, living in the host family with us. We were nervous to speak in English with
the host but we told ourselves to be brave.
We ate chicken legs and rice for
dinner. It was delicious and incredible. We didn’t expect we could eat rice in
Cairns. Our host mother took us to go sight-seeing. We went to the market, the shopping
mall and the Reef Fleet Terminal which was most unforgettable as it was
beautiful.
We look forward to tomorrow’s
schedule excitedly.
