We woke up early today and had our breakfast consisting of toasted bread and fruit. We then went to our school and met our class teacher, Elaine, who is very kind and friendly. The lesson consisted of a wide variety of activities like self-introduction and our sharing about Australia. During lunchtime, most of us stayed in our classrooms to enjoy our meals and we usually had ham, cheese and cucumber sandwiches for lunch. We especially like the bananas and strawberries provided by our home-stay mom. She put juice and snacks in our lunch boxes too!
We went for a city hunt after lunch. We visited the Cairns Central
Shopping Centre and had a scavenger hunt there. Some of the things were really inexpensive
there which caught our eyes. We bought a mason jar and shorts which only cost
less than 10 bucks. What a good bargain!
After arriving home, we played with the home-stay cat, Lily,
for a while. The dinner tonight was very tasty. Guess what?! We had ginger
fried rice! We were excited to know that we are going to the zoo tomorrow as we
long to see the koalas and kangaroos!
