“The Aboriginal Workshop” (Day 5)

We learnt some special features of the Green Island that we are about to visit the coming Sunday.

It was followed by an Aboriginal Workshop taught by a male indigenous Australian. He told us indigenous stories, myths and culture. The highlight today was the boomerang painting. He showed us how to use dots, lines and animal images to paint the boomerang. It is fun to know the oldest Australian aboriginal boomerangs are ten thousand years old and they formed a part of the stone-age weapons.

We drew scorpions on our boomerangs which we would bring home for house decoration. Aren’t they attractive?

ARE THEY BEAUTIFUL?
