“Caravonica State School” (Day 6)

Today we had a school visit activity. We went to a local primary school, Caravonica State School. After arriving at the school, we participated in their little welcoming ceremony at the school library. It was warm and friendly.

Each of us was assigned a buddy who guided us through the visit. We met our buddies, Stephie and Norial, who were cute and lovely. We were escorted to their classroom. It was a very different classroom from ours. There were a refrigerator, some computers and even their class teacher’s mini office area. Students were divided into groups and they studied together.

We had a lunch break after which we gathered together in their music room. We sang some songs together. We also sang the “Cup Song”, my favourite! Many students knew the song well.

After the music gathering, we played football happily together in their big and green soccer field. It was sunny and a bit hot today. At the end of the visit, there was a certificate presenting ceremony. It was really a great experience for all of us.
